Altered Art - Handcrafted Miniature Works of Art
Altered Art is a relatively new medium for designer Carla Ekman, one she is enjoying! Through many steps and hours, Carla creates a miniature piece of art you can wear.
She spends many hours choosing the right image and manipulating it digitally. Then it is affixed to an item such as a domino, scrabble tile, or bamboo tile. After that a thick protective glaze is applied. When the piece is done it may be embellished with beads, or left for the new owner to enjoy as is.
