This humorous saying is a digital collage placed on a vintage ad image of a woman drinking coffee.

 

The image is 2-sided and is sandwiched between two pieces of Memory Glass the same size as a microscope slide (1" X 3"). The piece is framed in a self-hinging frame designed specifically for this glass.

Each altered art piece is hand crafted by owner/designer Carla Ekman. To make the digital collages Carla spends many hours choosing the right image, manipulating it digitally to get the best crop, add the quotes, etc.

 

For slides the images are printed on the highest quality paper with photo quality color ink. Then they are trimmed and placed between the two pieces of glass. Then the hinged frame is added.
