1. All Rainbow poems are written and owned by Cobweb Corner owner Carla Ekman. None of the poems may be used for any reason without the written permission of the author (unless purchased with a jewelry item from our site).

3. Q. May I purchase individual copies of the poem without purchasing the jewelry items? A. Yes - depending on your intent for using the poems we do occasionally provide copies of the poem for sale. Contact us and describe how you would like to use the poem and how many copies you would like.
4. Q. If I buy one jewelry item with your poem then can I copy it and use it as many times as I like? A. No you must purchase each copy you intend to use. Purchasing a poem with a jewelry item does not mean you now have copyright ownership of the poem. This is the same as purchasing a single copy of sheet music - you must have a copy for everyone in the choir.
5. Q. I bead as a hobby - can't I just go to the bead store and make my own item and then use your poem? A. Not unless you have permission to use the poem, or have purchased each copy you intend to use first.
6. Q. I sell jewelry for a living at craft fairs - Why couldn't I use your idea and poem and no one will ever know? A. There is Someone who will know. :-)  Not only would this be unchristian - but it would be illegal. We will follow through if this is brought to our attention.
7. Q. Can I make my own items with your poem and sell them at non-profit fundraisers such as school events, church bizarre, etc?  I would not be making any profit from this. A. No - you may not use the poems without prior written permission.
8. Q. Can I use the poem with a personal gift? For example my child would like to make her own gift for her teacher and then give your poem with the gift. A. No - you may not use the poems without prior written permission.
9. Q. I love your poems and would like to include them in our church newsletter - may I do that? A. No you may not include any of the Rainbow poems in a newsletter (church bulletin, church newsletter, school letter etc.) without prior written permission from the author.
10. Q. I love your poems and would like to include them on my website for others to enjoy - may I do this? A. No you may not copy any of the poems to include on your web site without prior written permission of the author.
11. Q. Can't I just write my own poem as long as it isn't exactly like yours? A. No - it is illegal to take bits and pieces of our poems to construct 'new' poems. This is referred to as making a derivative work based upon the original work and is against copyright law.
12. Q. I would love to use one of your poems for a Sunday School project. Can I copy the poem for each student in the class? A. No you may not use copies of the poems for a class (ex. Sunday School project) without prior written permission from the author.
13. The Rainbow poems located on Cobweb Corner are available EXCLUSIVELY from Cobweb Corner. If you are aware of someone using/selling our poems please contact us.
14. Q. What are the consequences of violating copyright law? A. We do follow through with all copyright violations that are brought to our attention. For more information on the penalties that are possible please refer the official link in item #2 toward the top of this page.

Another way to think of this issue: If you went to a Christian book store and saw a poem or card that you liked and wanted one for all of your friends - you would of course purchase all you needed. We're no different than a 'regular' store - we're just online.
