Taken on a small lake in northern Minnesota, I found these common loons early one morning and floated quietly alongside watching their behavior. Their haunting calls are one of my favorite sounds. This loon is just beginning a sequence of a display, whereby it stands up in the water, flaps its wings and gives a good stretch.

Sale is for a single, unframed print. Image is printed on fine art photographic paper using pigment inks, providing approximately 100-year archival ratings. I can accommodate alternative sizing upon request.

The watermark on the electronic image does not appear on the final product. Print is hand signed on the back.
